Metal Man is Adrian’s children’s book project about a toy robot who gets buried on the beach in the 80s by a little boy, and lost. But then Metal Man comes to life and goes on a quest to find little boy who lost him. Inspired by a true story…

Animal Studies

Each of these animal characters were created using the principles of shape language. Each character is based on squares, circles or triangles. The choice of shape affects their personalities — making them prickly, strong, cuddly etc…

“I Must Not Fear” — Art Piece

Inspired by a quote from Frank Herbert, this piece is a dream-like depiction of a battle between a ragamuffin girl and an evil harlequin, each of them commanding their own army of ghosts.

“The Sailor and the Sea Witch” — Concept Art

The Sailor and the Sea Witch is Adrian’s concept for an animated film about a young Sea Witch and her Sailor Father who go on a fantastic ocean voyage into a world of magic, wonder and treachery, in search of her missing mother—Jules Verne meets Harry Potter. Here is a pose sheet depicting Elle the Sea Witch in action with her Salty Dog father, ‘The Captain’.

“Space Force” — Character Designs

Space Force is a pitch for an Action / Comedy animated series that tells the story of a crew of intergalactic explorers on a mission to discover alien worlds and new civilizations. Lighthearted and fun, Space Force is able to poke fun at the space-travel genre while still delivering plenty of the genre’s requisite action and thrills. Here are some character designs as well as a pose sheet for one of the characters.

“The Woodland War” — Book Illustrations

The Woodland War is a novel for young people which Adrian is currently writing and illustrating. It’s an epic fantasy tale of war and survival in the animal kingdom—equal parts Tolkien and Kipling. Here are some concept drawings depicting the story’s ensemble cast of heroes and villains.
